For years PTFE has been frowned upon by the Silicone Hose Manufacturers. PHARMALEX is based upon the world-renowned Bioflex hose. It consists of a highly flexible PTFE liner and a clear silicone outer cover. The hose is semi-transparent so you can see the media, is easily cleanable inside and out and today carries the certification that excluded it from entering the world of Silicone hose.

PHARMALEX comes with FDA Approvals, USP Class VI inner and outer, Atex, 3.1B Certification, C of C and full test data.

Now, because Bioflex and its sister products Pharmalex and Pharmaline stand alone as the World’s best PTFE hoses, other manufacturers have seen fit to disguise their existing product ranges, with one manufacturer quite blatantly offering convoluted hose, as smoothbore. The latest development is for a cheap imitation of Bioflex to be introduced to the market. Here are four examples to illustrate the differences between Bioflex and the competition’s hoses.

Example 1 - The bore.

Example 2 - Permeability.

Result: A steel bar can attain the bend radius of Bioflex but are you strong enough? The amount of energy that is required to bend F Type hose is 2 times that of Bioflex!

Example 4 - End Fittings.

Bioflex - a full range of tried and tested full flare through fittings.	F Type - Poor imitation, no vacuum resistance and has no durability this hose will fail!
